Stellar, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based firm that designs, engineers and installs ammonia systems, has named Clint Pyle its new senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Pyle was appointed to the vacant position after Stellar’s former CFO, Scott Witt, was named chair of the finance committee for Stellar’s board of directors. Pyle was promoted from his role as Stellar’s divisional vice president of shared services.

“Scott and Clint have each played a major role in Stellar’s growth and success over the years,” said Mike Santarone, president and chief operating officer, in a statement. “Clint has proven to be a tremendous asset, and I know that he and Scott will continue to work together effectively in their new roles.”

Before joining Stellar, Pyle was manager of finance and planning at The St. Joe Company, and before that an accountant at CNL Financial Group in Orlando, Fla. He is a licensed CPA and holds an MBA from the University of North Florida – among other qualifications.

Six other Stellar employees were also promoted to officer-level positions – Jason Duff to VP of the engineering division, Luke Facemyer to VP of the refrigeration contracting division, Chris Williams to VP of operations for mechanical services, Amy Rojas to director of human resources, Mike Davis to operations manager, and Sid Sap to senior superintendent.

Stellar’s history designing and building low-charge ammonia systems spans more than a decade – beginning with its first ammonia-CO2 cascade system in 2002.
