Apply for eurammon’s Natural Refrigeration Award

If you have recently graduated from a technical institute and dedicated your thesis report on natural refrigerants, including ammonia, then submit your entry to eurammon’s ‘Natural Refrigeration Award’ by 30 June 2011.

For the fourth time, eurammon encourages young scientists to work on sustainable solutions for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology and continue the on-going development of environment-friendly business in refrigeration technology, using natural refrigerants, including ammonia.

Award with an aim

"With the Natural Refrigeration Award, our aim is to enhance the awareness for and acceptance of natural refrigerants and to act as a source of information for manufacturers, project planners, system engineers and users, providing them with a platform to actively share their experiences," says Monika Witt, Chairwoman of eurammon.

Prizes

eurammon is joining forces with the technical faculty of Rijeka University in Croatia and the Russian trade magazine Refrigeration Business and will award three prizes for a total of €5,000.

In addition, winners will be invited to present their award-winning paper during a dedicated ceremony to an international audience providing an excellent opportunity to network and connect with international HVAC&R experts.

How to apply?

All graduates of universities, polytechnics, colleges and similar educational institutions, whose scientific paper has been accredited as a doctoral, master’s or bachelor’s thesis, are encouraged to submit:
  1. The completed application form (click here to download the application form)
     
  2. An English abstract including the introduction, problem, solution and summary (max 2,500 characters)
     
  3. Thesis paper
An international jury made up of representatives from science, business and the media will decide on the winning entry. The prizes will be awarded during autumn 2011. The deadline for submission is the 30th June 2011 and it needs to be sent at this e-mail address: karin.jahn@eurammon.com
