Established in Glasgow in 1970, Star Refrigeration has over 400 employees working from nine branches throughout the UK and a network of overseas partners enabling the delivery of Star solutions around the world. The company is a total solutions provider, active from design through to commissioning and maintenance of cooling and heating systems with a specific competence in the minimization of refrigerant charge and leak-tightness.

The Star Refrigeration Group of companies also own technical advisory arm, Star Technical Solutions, which operates as an independent consultancy; StarFrost, a market leader in industrial freezing and chilling systems for the worldwide food processing industry; Mechanical and electrical contractor SMES; Star Renewable Energy, a renewable energy business offering natural fluid heatpump systems for industrial and district heating, Star Data Analytics, the group’s  strategic insight data monitoring services,  and Star Learning Solutions, a training division offering online theoretical courses via www.star-learningsolutions.com  

In 2014 the Star Refrigeration Group launched US subsidiary Azane Inc., established to meet growing demand for the Group’s low-charge ammonia “Azane” technology, which includes the Azanechiller and Azanefreezer.
