The 2011 International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) Industrial Refrigeration Conference & Heavy Equipment Show will be taking place the 27-30 March, 2011 in Orlando, Florida, USA. ammonia21.com will be reporting live from the event.
With More than 100 exhibitors showcasing the industry's leading innovations, it is billed as the largest conference dedicated exclusively to natural refrigerants for industrial use.
Technical program highlights
After covering last year's conference, ammonia21 looks forward to this year’s technical program, which spans 2½ days, consisting of Operations and Maintenance Workshops, Panel Discussions, Formal Technical Papers and technomercials – exhibitor sponsored training sessions.
The program includes sessions on the following topics:
Keynote speakers include Mike McClendon, President of Richmond Cold Storage and 2010 Chairman of the World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO) as well as Mark E. Blanchard, President & Chief Executive Officer of New Orleans Cold Storage and Chairman of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW).
An extended special report will be made by IIAR Code Consultant Jeffrey Shapiro on the latest news from the mechanical and fire code arenas and Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) Government Relations advocate Lowell Randel will report on the latest regulatory affairs news from Washington, including a report on OSHA’s NEP initiative.
Key exhibits on display
The Heavy Equipment Show exhibit hall will feature more than 100 displays from the leading ammonia and industrial refrigeration product and service providers with new technology and cutting edge concepts on display. In addition, nine exhibitors will present technomercials that combine product information and training.
Included among companies presenting are Mayekawa, GEA, Evapco, Vilter and Kobe Steel.
