Ammonia technology faster to Europe - ATMOsphere Europe 2011

By Sabine Lobnig, May 23, 2011, 17:51 2 minute reading

For the 3rd consecutive year the ATMOsphere interactive workshop on natural refrigerants will take place in Brussels. From 11-12 October 2011, around 170 decision makers from industry and government will gather to discuss how to change the future of ammonia and other natural refrigerants. This year presentations, discussions and topics will have a clear focus on Europe and results will be shared worldwide in the form of a 10-point action plan.

Building on the success of ATMOsphere 2009 and 2010, a new edition of the international and interactive workshop on natural refrigerants has just been announced. To participate in ATMOsphere Europe 2011, you can already save the following date:

Tue, 11 - Wed, 12 October, Brussels (Sofitel Brussels Europe)

Registration for places at ATMOsphere Europe 2011 will open in the first week of June. The number of places available is limited! There will be a 100€ reduction in price for early bird registrations during the month of June at ATMO.org/Europe2011.

  • Panel debate with major Consumer Brands about integrating natural refrigerants into their operations
  • Panel debate with leading European retailers about the future of Natural Refrigerants in commercial refrigeration
  • Technology case study sessions (for refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps)
  • Round table discussions in groups (F-Gas, Ecodesign, retailer and consumer brands panel)
  • Networking dinner
An updated programme will be available in early June on ATMO.org/Europe2011.

ATMOsphere Europe 2011 Roadmap

This year presentations, discussions and topics will have Europe as a focus in order to provide clearer outcomes and concrete results. By moving from a general to a more specific approach the organisers want to ensure that even experts can learn from this experience. Results will be presented in the form of a Roadmap. A draft 10-point Action plan will be prepared beforehand to be discussed and changed during the workshops. The Roadmap on how to bring natural refrigerants faster to Europe will be shared worldwide after the conference.
