Global survey on Barriers and Solutions for Natural Refrigerants

Your expert knowledge and experience is needed for a survey on natural refrigerants! The ATMOsphere 2010 organisers want to identify the barriers that are still deterring Natural Refrigerants from a global uptake. The solutions will be then put into a report to be handed out to policy and industry experts on all continents and help them to take concrete steps towards the wider use of ammonia, hydrocarb

Especially for those that cannot participate at ATMOsphere2010, the International Workshop on Natural Refrigerants on 27-28 September in Brussels, the organizers are planning to summarise the discussions as well as the suggested solutions and results in a summary report. One part of the data will be generated by a global survey on the barriers and solutions for natural refrigerants. This questionnaire is inspired by a UNEP survey and aims to answer two key questions:
  • Which barriers for natural refrigerants exist in your country?
  • Which solution can be found to these barriers?

Your input is needed

Here we would also need your expert view and support to identify perceived and/or actual barriers to the wider uptake of ammonia, hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide in heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration applications. Your input is very valuable to us, independent of your area of expertise. Your time will be rewarded with the results of the survey that we will share with you.

5 questions - only 10 minutes of your time

Please take the time and fill in the 5 questions. The results will be an important basis for the workshop discussions at ATMOsphere 2010 and will be also summarised in the ATMOsphere 2010 Report. This document will be then given to negotiators at global climate and ozone talks, to industry representatives at major trade shows and to all stakeholders involved in the uptake of F-gas free HVAC&R equipment.

More about ATMOsphere 2010

ATMOsphere 2010 is an International Workshop on Natural Refrigerants and will be held on 27-28 September in Brussels. Around 150 participants, 40 high-level speakers from policy and industry as well as 30 moderators will meet to help answer one simple question: HOW to bring natural refrigerants 'Faster to Market'? This year a new workshop concept has been developed: 15 groups in interactive workshops will bring together all main stakeholders to discuss what policy and industry can do to support the use of hydrocarbons, CO2 and ammonia as refrigerants in developed and developing countries.
