eurammon calls for papers for the Natural Refrigeration Award 2013

eurammon is calling for papers for the Natural Refrigeration Award 2013. All graduates and young scientists in the field of refrigeration with natural refrigerants are welcome to submit theses or research contributions until 27 March 2013.

In June 2013, eurammon will hold the fifth Natural Refrigeration Award at Schaffhausen, Switzerland. eurammon is now calling for papers for the Natural Refrigeration Award 2013. 
 
About the Natural Refrigeration Award 2013 
 
With the sponsorship of the Natural Refrigeration Award, eurammon aims to promote the research and application of natural refrigerants like ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons and water. The award commits to facilitating the projects of ambitious young scientists and motivates them for further research in the field of refrigeration with natural refrigerants. The award in 2013 is jointly assigned by eurammon, Faculty of Thermal Process Engineering at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany, and the Norwegian trade journal KULDE og Varmepumper. The award ceremony will be held on the occasion of the International eurammon Conference in 28 June 2013 at Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
 
Selection of winners
 
The prize winners will be selected by an international jury with experts from science, business and the media. Three prizes will be awarded with a prize money amount of €5,000. The three award winners will have the opportunity to present their theses or dissertations to an international expert audience during the award ceremony at Schaffhausen, Switzerland, in June 2013. 
 
Application requirements
 
All graduates and young scientists of universities, polytechnics, colleges and similar educational institutions are welcome to participate. The thesis papers could be scientific papers that have been accredited as a doctoral, master’s or bachelor’s thesis, or final paper for a similar degree. The thesis paper has to engage with refrigeration technology using natural refrigerants like ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons or water. The thesis has to be graded between July 2011 and March 2013. 
 
The deadline for submission of applications is 27 March 2013. Applicants need to submit the following document:

  • Abstract: 
             Language: English
             Length: 1 DIN A4 (standard letter) page (2,500 characters maximum)
             Content: Introduction, Problem, Solution, Summary
  • Thesis paper
