Food Chain - launched in May 2011, and with successful runs in Dubai and in Dammam - is a unique interface between end-users on one side and suppliers and service providers of refrigeration-related equipment, and also consultants and contractors on the other side. End-users include agricultural farms and cooperative farming societies, hypermarkets, supermarkets, large cold storage facilities, wholesalers, retailers, food processors and caterers. The event follows a model of fostering discussion among end-users to identify and isolate their key challenges and what they expect from suppliers, service providers, consultants and contractors. It will give an equal opportunity to the other camp to specifically respond to the points raised by end-users. In that way, there is a direct connect that will take place.

Food Chain is produced by Climate Control Middle East magazine, which has been tracking the refrigeration industry for over five years. While the magazine covers the industry through print and online platforms, it feels compelled to bring the food and the refrigeration industries closer for long-lasting and optimum solutions based on consensus and a deeper understanding of issues.

Food Chain is also part of the magazine's overall food safety initiative. The magazine runs a 'I Care About Food Safety' campaign, which address the heart of the matter - the quality of food that is served to society from hygiene and nutrition points of view for better health and well being.
