Mayekawa develops new NH3/CO2 system for China market

Mayekawa, together with leading Chinese manufacturer Square Technology Group, has developed a new NH3/CO2 system targeted at China's food cold chain logistics industry.

Signalling increasing demand for natural refrigerant systems in China's industrial refrigeration sector, Mayekawa China has recently developed a new NH3/CO2 secondary system targeted at the food cold chain logistics market in China.

"In the second half of last year, our company and Square Technology Group jointly developed an NH3/CO2 secondary system, which is designed for quick-freezing machines," said Guan Shuo, senior sales manager for Mayekawa China.

Square Technology Group is a leading manufacturer of quick-freezing machines in China.

Shuo said that end user interest in low-charge ammonia systems such as NH3/CO2 models had developed rapidly over the past ten years in China, due to increasing restrictions imposed on ammonia use in China.

We believe there will be increased market demand for low-charge ammonia systems in the food cold chain logistics sector in China."

"We believe there will be increased market demand for low-charge ammonia systems in the food cold chain logistics sector in China," said Shuo.

"All-in-all, taking safety, environmental protection and energy conservation into consideration, low-charge ammonia systems will surely become a developing trend in China's refrigeration sector."

The system is dubbed 'South Polar', and will be exhibited at the upcoming China Refrigeration exhibition in Shanghai, which is being held on 9-11 April this year.

Square Technology Group is scheduled to present a case study on the new system at the upcoming ATMO China 2019 event, to be held on 11-12 April in Shanghai.
