Danfoss ICF Valve Station has won the ‘Best Innovation Award’ at the Asia 2012 Brewery Green Technology Summit held in Shanghai, China on 17 October 2012. Leading international & domestic brands from the brewery industry, including Budweiser, Snow Beer, and Tsingtao attended the event.

During the meeting, participants shared the latest developments and solutions for sustainability and eco-innovation in the brewery sector. A large focus has been on machinery, raw materials, and packaging technology.

Danfoss is already providing various refrigerating solutions and high quality valves to renowned beer producers in Europe and in the USA. This award will help to establish the company's position as market leader in the green refrigeration sector for the brewery industry in Asia.

Peer recognition for Danfoss Industrial Refrigeration in China

“This award is indeed a great recognition for the Danfoss Industrial Refrigeration (Danfoss IR) team as it is given by very important international operating end users in the brewery segment”, explains Zhang Anning, Sales Director of Industrial Refrigeration, China and APA Region.

Danfoss ICF Valve Station seems particularly suitable for applications within the brewery industry, where temperature control is the key element that defines the flavour of the beer. Precise control of temperature is crucial among several processes like wort cooling, yeast propagation, fermentation, and beer cooling.

More about the ICF Valve Station

Since coming to market in 2006, Danfoss’ ICF valve station has become a preferred valve station for industrial refrigeration installers with more than 15,000 units delivered worldwide.

The ICF valve station, designed for both low and high pressure refrigerants and for industrial refrigeration applications with a maximum working pressure of 52 bar, is especially suitable for ammonia and ammonia cascade systems.

The ICF valve station offers a space saving, compact design: one valve station, with either 4 or 6 function modules. The ‘plug & play’ concept enables easy and timesaving installation. The ICF specification covers approximately 90% of all applications with just four basic configurations and offers more than 50 specialised configurations.
