The 4th edition of ATMOsphere Europe will be held in Brussels on 5-7 November 2012. The interactive workshop and conference will bring together key people from policy with the suppliers and end users to talk about ammonia as a viable solution to f-gases across Europe.

Main theme this year is: ATMOsphere Europe 2012: Natural Refrigerants - Solutions for Europe. Therefore the emphasis will be put on case studies, experiences, and discussions - meaning solutions - about how ammonia can be an efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative for different applications in Europe.

Case studies, policy, end users and market trends

The programme will be a perfect mix of policy issues covered with high-level speakers from the European Parliament, the European Commission and national representatives. As well as two end-user sessions with leading consumer brands, cold storage owners and retailers sharing their experience and future plans. In addition two sessions will be dedicated to technology case studies with innovative projects using ammonia, hydrocarbons or CO2 as the refrigerant.

Last but not least a market trends session presenting the latest developments and forecast for the market penetration of ammonia and other natural refrigerants is planned. The whole programme will be rounded up by interactive workshops, panel discussions and networking time to ensure the best outcome for all participants.

As a novelty this year ATMOsphere Europe will have specialised parallel sessions on Tuesday afternoon to cover new and related topics including: Funding opportunities, NGOs, business networking, speed dating and more.

More time, more solutions for Europe

With so many interesting things to discuss and present, in addition to the two day "normal" workshop days, we are also planning to have a half a day before, dedicated to the new F-Gas regulation scheduled to be published right before ATMOsphere Europe as well as the 10-point action plan. These small group discussions will allow for more focused and fruitful discussions. One of the highlights of the first day will be a dinner at the European Parliament.

Registration and Call for Case Studies

Registration for ATMOsphere Europe 2012 will open in early May. A call for case studies looking for innovative and real life examples of ammonia solutions for Europe will be issued in early May as well.
