Swedish component manufacturer Alfa Laval will launch a number of new products at an online event on February 16 launching its net-zero initiative, including new heat exchangers suitable for natural refrigerants.

The event is free to attend and takes place at 2pm CET in English. An additional event will take place on February 18 in Chinese.

Alfa Laval specializes in heat transfer products, including brazed heat exchangers suitable for propane (R290) and CO2 (R744) applications. The company also makes compact ammonia-NH3 (R717)/CO2 plate-and-frame heat exchanger that is attached to its U-Turn ammonia separator.

Alfa Laval is committed to accelerating sustainable products and solutions for the energy market, the company said in a statement. “The event will summarize the newest challenges we’re facing and how we can meet them.”

“The transition to natural refrigerants with a lower climate impact is a major trend in the global heating and cooling industry right now – and Alfa Laval is leading the way with heat exchangers that are adapted to the new requirements our customers face,” the company added.

The net-zero launch event will also share information from initiatives like Alfa Laval’s Zero Liquid Discharge project.

“This year, during our insight and innovation event, we will invite customers around the world to join us in exploring possibilities related to the theme: innovation that accelerates sustainable solutions,” said Thomas Møller, Executive Vice President of Alfa Laval’s Energy Division.

“We have an exciting lineup of speakers,” Møller added. “Each speaker will take us on a deep dive into his or her area of expertise and show us how to bring our commitments to energy efficiency, clean energy and the circular economy to life in our daily work.”

Alfa Laval focuses its sustainability efforts on these three areas – energy efficiency, clean energy and the circular economy. “We take the time to build lasting partnerships with our customers because we know that understanding their businesses is vital to finding ways to help them transition away from the carbon economy and toward greater thermal efficiency.”

“Trying to solve their challenges is what sparks our imagination and drives us toward greater innovation,” Møller noted.
