NASRC’s directory is meant to facilitate contact among natural refrigerant system providers, contractors and end users.

The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC) has launched a new member directory to facilitate contact among supermarket refrigeration stakeholders, and connect natural refrigerant system providers, contractors and food retailers.

NASRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes natural refrigerant solutions in the North American supermarket industry. It has 130+ members, including manufacturers, contractors and food retailers that together operate more than 24,000 supermarkets.

The directory is searchable, and results can be filtered by member type, product categories, region, service types and refrigerant (ammonia [NH3], CO2 and propane [R290]).

“Our members are our biggest strength and together have the power to drive solutions forward for the industry,” said Danielle Wright, Executive Director of NASRC, in a statement. “Because of our vast network, we’re uniquely positioned to house a simple platform to facilitate connections between stakeholders and, as a result, accelerate solutions.”

Regulatory pressure to adopt more climate friendly refrigerants is increasing around the world, and on federal and state level in the U.S., NASRC said, calling for an “all-hands-on-deck” approach from the U.S. HVAC&R industry.

“We were founded to bring stakeholders together to take collective action and overcome the barriers to natural refrigerant adoption,” Wright said.

“This directory reflects that principle by streamlining connections with the organizations and companies that have positioned themselves at the forefront of industry progress.”
