The Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Building Services Exhibition (ARBS), the major Australian HVAC&R trade show that was already delayed once this year, has been further postponed until April 27-29, 2022.

The ARBS board made this decision in August, based on visitor and exhibitor safety, as well as ongoing traveling restrictions.

The original exhibition was scheduled to take place in Melbourne May 19-21, 2020. It was postponed in March amid the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ARBS board subsequently announced the exhibition would take place on February 15-17, 2021. It has also offered attendees a digital platform to provide a “better connection between exhibitors and customers.”

“We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event [in 2021] for our exhibitors, speakers, award finalists and visitors; however, we must prioritize the health and safety of all attendees,” said Sue Falcke, ARBS Exhibition Manager, on the company website.

ARBS awards and seminar series

ARBS will still host the ARBS Awards event in the near future, despite the main exhibition being postponed.

“All entries to the ARBS Awards have already been judged and finalists have been announced and we are getting ready to bring you our online ceremony with all the fun and fanfare we can assemble virtually,” according to the group’s postponement notice.

The group will announce further details and times on its website.

In addition, the group still plans to host the ARBS Seminar seriesin the near future, according to ARBS.

We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our exhibitors, speakers, award finalists and visitors; however, we must prioritize the health and safety of all attendees.”
