As our preview coverage of new natural refrigerant products at Chillventa 2016 continues, today the spotlight falls on Spain’s RV Cooling Tech, which will be presenting two new product lines for heat pumps and Compact Machinery Rooms (CMR).

RV Cooling Tech specialises in manufacturing system for industrial refrigeration. The company offers ammonia systems that are energy efficient, as well as providing easy installation and maintenance for their units.

Growing demand for ammonia

We expect that there will be even more demand for ammonia equipment. We see that in many markets there were installers who weren’t using natural refrigerants until now, and they want ammonia solutions".
- Head of the commercial department at RV Cooling Tech Mikel Diaz says.

At this year’s Chillventa, “we expect that there will be even more demand for ammonia equipment. We see that in many markets there were installers who weren’t using natural refrigerants until now, and they want ammonia solutions,” Mikel Diaz, head of the commercial department at RV Cooling Tech, told ammonia21.com.

In 2016 the company began selling ammonia heat pumps and ready-to-use compact machinery rooms (CMR).

The heat pump delivers water at temperatures between 70oC and 85oC with a low-charge ammonia capacity of up to 1,200 kW. It can be used in a wide range of applications and was recently installed into an integrated low-charge ammonia chiller and heat pump system at a chocolate factory for Coop, Switzerland’s second-largest retail group.

We think that the CMRs are going to attract the attention of a lot of visitors as we have all the elements which are needed for a low-temperature installation in a compact unit – including the compressors, economiser, liquid separators, ammonia pumps, together with a control and power panel and a ‘plug & play’ solution for freezer tunnels,” says Diaz.

The CMRs also use a short and low-charge ammonia circuit for the refrigerant loop, which can be placed outdoors and is fitted with an ammonia neutralider. “So there is no need to build any additional machine room,” Diaz says.

He says, “we are always open to the new products and trends in the market and implement them in our products. We know that our clients like our flexibility and ability to adapt our equipment to their needs”.
