  • Alfa Laval Arctigo IS: Industrial heavy-duty air coolers with copper or stainless steel tubing. Suitable for cooling and freezing applications in medium to large cold rooms. Capacities 3 to 230 kW. This industrial air cooler line is designed to keep fresh and frozen goods refrigerated from +30 to -40°C, with either high or low humidity content.

Danfoss: With a brand new booth design, Danfoss presented several new additions to its selection of industrial refrigeration components at Chillventa, including:

  • SVL SS Flexline: a Chillventa product launch, the stainless steel line of components is suitable for highly corrosive environments such as breweries, dairies and fishing vessels.
  • ICF 15-4 and ICV with flanges: two new additions to the Flexline ACF 15_4platform, a compact, modular and light valve station available with different welded connections such as DN 15 and DN 20, the ICF 15-4. The ICV with flanges is designed for replacement of PM valves and avoids the need for welding.
  • EKE 347: the new industrial refrigeration liquid level sensor comes with an improved interface with multi-language support.
  • VLT Refrigeration Drive FC 103:  with increased functionality for refrigeration compressor, pump and fan control.

GEA Refrigeration Technologies: at one of the largest trade fair stands GEA Refrigeration Technologies showcased a wide range of natural refrigerant technologies, reflecting the importance the company now places on ammonia, CO2 and hydrocarbon products. Suitable for ammonia GEA showcased the GEA Grasso V series package, the GEA Grasso M, the GEA Grasso LT series and the GEA Grasso 5HP series model 65HP, in addition to the following two new products:

  • GEA Grasso BluGenium: the new water-cooled ammonia chillers are based on the proven piston compressors from the GEA Grasso V series and characterised by a narrow width of only 1.2 m as well as by a small footprint. The chillers are available in five models, have a European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (ESEER) of >9, and a welded housing that enables physical separation of the intake and discharge sides of the compressor.
  • GEA Geneglace: The new GEA Geneglace G100 ice is designed for the continuous production of hygienic flake ice for the food processing industry. The G100 is the first model in a GEA premium series that is based on a new and patented technology, and can be operated with the natural refrigerant ammonia or with CO2, for which the maximum operating pressure is then 40 bar.

Hansen: The featured ammonia product at the Hansen booth was the MVP Multi-Valve Platform, a compact and lightweight universal valve that allows complete customization to accommodate a wide range of capacities and application requirements. It offers up to six control functions including solenoid valve, two-step solenoid valve, all common pressure regulator functions, and sealed motor valve. The MVP includes manual opening stems and a full size stainless steel mesh strainer.

HB Products: The Danish specialist in level measurement and control of oil and refrigerants showcased its HBLT-Wire sensor for liquid separators. Suitable for level measurement of NH3 in industrial refrigeration systems, the sensor has an output signal of 4-20mA and consists of a 2mm steel wire as well as a Teflon tube. It takes only 5 minutes to configure the installation friendly component. Also on display was the "plug and play" HBCP sensor designed to protect the compressor against liquid hammer, and avoid the damaging and costly effects of liquid overflow. For system surveillance, HB Products showcased their HBLC level controller, which supplies information about the capacity load on the system to the operator panel in terms of degree of opening of the valve.

JCI: For ammonia, Danish company Johnson Controls showcased its 8 cylinder SMC 108L Sabroe compressor, part of the SMC 100 series. With a capacity of 335kW, a displacement of 226 – 1357m3h, and featuring the Unisab III systems controller, this single stage reciprocating compressor is ideal for use in medium-size industrial and marine refrigeration installations.

Mayekawa: celebrating their 90th birthday, the specialist in products for the ‘natural five’ refrigerants had on display the low ammonia charge N4K-E5AC chiller package, featuring a micro channel condenser and the semi-hermetic N4K compressor; and the J-type unit, also suitable for ammonia. The latter has a 60% reduction in maintenance compared to the SCV series, a built in suction check valve and steel drive coupling, and uses a J compressor, one of the most efficient in the world. In addition to the products on show at their booth, Mayekawa teamed up with the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) to showcase an ammonia heat pump, as apart of a display about the energy savings that can be achieved thanks to ammonia heat pumps.

Parker Hannifin: Component specialist Parker showcased the PVS valve station for ammonia, a 6-in-1 valve station, with plated steel housing. Easy to install, the PVS is 340mm high and 486mm long and features shut-off valves, an expansion valve, a check valve, solenoid/ regulator/ electronic valve, strainer, cartridge and seal cap.
