2014 IIAR & Heavy Equipment Show coming up in March

The 2014 IIAR Industrial Refrigeration Conference is back from March 23-26 in Nashville, Tennessee. This year, the ammonia-focused conference includes a Heavy Equipment Show, which is only held once every three years. The event offers an exciting look at the latest technologies and innovation in the field of industrial refrigeration, as well as a forum for networking and expert dialogue.

From 23-26 March, hundreds of industrial refrigeration industry professionals will meet at the 2014 IIAR (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) in Nashville, Tennessee. With over 1000 attendees expected, the trade show provides a great forum to meet with ammonia refrigeration experts, reconnect with clients and network with key decision makers from around the world.

Over 100 exhibitors

Leading industrial refrigeration manufacturers, contractors, trainers and other service providers will display their latest equipment, products, services and technologies at the 2014 IIAR Industrial Refrigeration Conference & Heavy Equipment Show. Some of the over 100 companies exhibiting at the event include Alfa Laval, Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), Bitzer, Carnot Refrigeration, CIMCO Refrigeration, Colmac Coil Manufacturing, Danfoss, EVAPCO, Frick by Johnson Controls, Garden City Ammonia Program (GCAP), GEA Refrigeration, Hansen Technologies, Henry Technologies, Hillphoenix, Mayekawa, Parker-Hannifin, shecco, Temprite, Vilter Manufacturing (by Emerson Climate Technologies.

Programme highlights

The IIAR introduces an exciting technical programme including peer reviewed technical paper presentations on various topics including: relief header release modeling, air cooled condensing, reduced requirements for PPE, vapor scrubbing and more. The event also features workshops, such as “An insider’s review of CFATS” by the Director of the Infrastructure Security Compliance Division (ISC) from the Department of Homeland Security, and panel discussion on current industry research and the global view of industrial refrigeration.

Special features: safety and risk management training

An exclusive feature of the 2014 IIAR is a workshop introducing the IIAR’s model Process Safety Management and Risk Management Program. The workshop presents strategies for implementing these safety and risk management measure in facilities and teaches how to conduct effective audits for regulatory compliances and avoid common pitfalls leading to non-compliance issues during NEP and other inspections.

Another feature is Ammonia Safety Training Day, presented by the Ammonia Safety Training Institute (ASTI) in conjunction with the IIAR. This is a free half-day workshop designed to help train end-users and facility personnel on how to create policy for and respond to ammonia releases and accidents.
