The specialist for industrial refrigeration consultancy can build on 20 years experience in that specific field. ISECO’s broad range of services includes general consultancy for projects to develop and optimise ammonia systems as well as specialised stand-alone consulting services.

ISECO, the Australian-based consultancy, is specialised in industrial refrigeration with a focus on ammonia systems and ammonia/CO2 cascade systems. On new projects, ISECO forms part of the project team, co-operating with architects, civil and structural engineers or services engineers for the concept design and development phase of a project. With a team of highly experienced refrigeration engineers, ISECO’s role can include the concept design as well as drawing integration, construction details or the project budget management. The broad service range based on over 20 years of experience also includes the full tender design, documentation and evaluation services, as well as the construction inspection, compliance and sign off services.

Specialised services that can stand alone range from plant problem investigations followed by a recommendation report, to safety audits and installation standard compliance certification. They also include plant energy auditing or the assistance in greenhouse gas emissions reporting to name just a few.

Going international

By presenting technical papers on the main ammonia conferences and with a growing customer base from different continents, the consultancy has already developed an international profile. ISECO operates from a central base in Victoria, Australia, however, projects have been carried out in all Australian states, as well as New Zealand and the U.S.. With the development of the Internet it is proven effective and economical to work from a single base providing services to an ever-expanding geographical circle of clients. Managing Director Ray Clarke feels the time is now right to offer its range of services to a broader international client base.

Most recent project: Ammonia small charge system for supermarket

ISECO has now completed the concept design for a unique ammonia refrigeration system for small supermarkets having about 1000sqm of floor area. The concept consists of three chillers and one freezer duty stand alone refrigeration packages, each package having a maximum 8.5kg ammonia refrigerant charge. The main objective of the project was to reduce carbon footprint. The next stage is to carry out the detailed design and construct as well as to install and test the system in a selected location.
